The Manitoba Federation of Non-Profit Organization Inc. (MFNPO) is an umbrella of community organizations from around the province. Arising from the findings and efforts of the Manitoba Voluntary Sector Initiative (MVSI),  MFNPO was created - of the sector, by the sector, for the sector - to take leadership in addressing the issues and challenges facing the sector and to support greater communication and co-ordination within the sector.

Along with the idea of a shared services co-op, workforce development strategies, disaster management and public policy input, MFNPO will network within the province, and creating the space for the sector to be strengthened. It will research and publish timely materials for the sector and convene events, and meetings that bring representatives together on issues and initiatives, and enable dialogue and important forward thinking discussion with other sectors and decision-makers (government, funders, business and labour).
